Group-Sponsored One Silly Summer Contest
Details
Deadline: | October 6 |
Fee: | Free |
Stories of going on vacation/holiday often inspire fond memories of getting together with too-little-seen family members, picturesque settings, and fantastic adventures, things that generally give one the warm fuzzies. Hey... that’s great! But this ain’t one of those.
The Tri County Donuts Group wants your humorous/comical tales of the time you stuck a leach on that pesky cousin’s butt down by the ol’ watering hole during the big family reunion, or the family member who sleep walked into the wrong restroom at a rest area—anything that might make one bust a gut.
Your original and unpublished work must be about taking a vacation/holiday—summer setting is preferred but not required—and include at least one element of comedy/humor. It can be a recounting of real events, complete fiction, or something in between.
Prize money for this contest is provided by the Scribophile Writing Contest Prize Fund.
